Catherine Blanton is the wife of Blake Gates Masters an American venture capitalist who is running for the United States Senate in Arizona in 2022.
The couple has known each other since their high school days. They got married in 2012 and they share three sons together.
Masters is the Republican Party’s nominee in Arizona’s 2022 U.S. Senate race, defeating state Attorney General Mark Brnovich and businessman Jim Lamon in the August 2 primary.
In 2014, Masters and Thiel co-wrote Zero to One: Notes on Startups, or How to Build the Future, based on notes Masters took at Stanford Law School in 2012.
Masters later became the chief operating officer of Thiel Capital and the president of the Thiel Foundation.
In 2013, Masters co-founded Judicata, a legal research service. Although Masters left the project in 2014, the website was officially launched in 2017.
Fastcase purchased the website in 2020. Masters went to work for Thiel after meeting him, becoming a chief operating officer of the investment firm Thiel Capital and president of the Thiel Foundation.
Thiel chose Masters and other employees to assist in Donald Trump’s presidential transition in November 2016.
