Hunter Moore was detained in January 2014 due to the FBI’s inquiry. He had a website at the time that allowed users to upload private photos without the owner’s permission, making him well-known online.
In July 2015, Charles Evens (then 26) entered a guilty plea to charges of data theft and cyberattacks.
According to federal authorities, Evens admitted to hacking into the email accounts of hundreds of women, getting nuked pictures, and selling the pictures to Moore.

Charles Evens is popularly known as an online site hacker who helped Hunter Moore to access numerous email accounts to gather private photos.
Beginning in 2010, Hunter Moore managed a website where users could post obscene photos, according to the Cinemaholic.
Without the subject’s knowledge or permission, some of them were uploaded by enraged ex-partners who were sending them.
Hunter not only revealed their names and social media accounts but also exposed other personal information about them.
When Charles hacked into Hunter’s account, he came into touch with him. Then, Hunter later offered him a contract even though Evens had no idea who he was at the moment.
Hunter requested Charles for $250 to send him pictures of six guys and six women without clothes on in one email.
Charles, who at one point got as much as $900, was shown to be paid by Hunter through PayPal transactions.

Where Is Hacker Charles Evens Today?
Hacker Charles Evens seems to regret his actions. After his release from prison in November 2017, he seemed to have avoided major incidents.
As of today, he resides in Studio City, California. Since 2018, he has been employed by a business in Los Angeles, California, in the sales division.

Was Hacker Charles Evens Arrested? His Charges
Hacker Charles Evens was arrested in charge of giving Hunter private photographs by unlawfully accessing email accounts.
In the end, Evens entered a plea of guilty to one count of aggravated identity theft and one count of unauthorized access to a protected computer to collect information for personal financial gain.
Publishing such incriminating images became a misdemeanor when state legislation was passed in 2013, and Los Angeles prosecutors obtained their first conviction under the law in 2014.
Although he could have received a sentence of up to seven years, he ultimately received a 25-month sentence.
The judge also ordered Charles to complete 20 hours of community service in addition to paying a $2000 fine.
How Did Hacker Charles Evens Help Hunter Moore “The Most Hated Man On The Internet”
Charles received payment from Hunter Moore for lying to and tricking people into giving him access to their email accounts in exchange for hacking into their accounts.
The hacker Evens explained his choice, stating, “The job would imply money. I had recently left treatment and was in a rough position. A period of around eight months spent at home. I lost my job because of my drinking.”
Charles also claimed he worked on hacking for almost four months. Their exchanged emails, and the latter did make a passing reference to the situation being illegal at one point. However, nothing appeared to alter.
